Is the Aston Martin Vulcan Street Legal?

Green Aston Martin Vulcan parked

Out of the 24 Aston Martin Vulcans produced between 2015 and 2016, only one Vulcan was street legal, and only after being customized by an independent party, the RML Group. In order to make the Vulcan legal to drive on public roads, RML Group spent 18-months overhauling the vehicle’s design. Not that it matters. The Vulcan is so scarce, Jeff Bezos himself would be lucky to find one!

The Aston Martin Vulcan top speed is just north of 200 mph, and it could go from 0-60 mph in 3 seconds flat on Jupiter streets if it were legal to drive. This is thanks to a 7.0L V12 engine that achieves 820 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque and feather-light curb weight of 2,975 pounds. The Vulcan also features a magnesium torque tube with a carbon fiber propeller shaft, as well as an Xtrac 6-speed sequential transmission, and a limited-slip differential. Other performance features include:

  • Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires
  • 19-inch APP-TECH wheels
  • carbon-ceramic brakes
  • 3 drive modes
  • Front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing that generate GT3-tier levels of downforce
  • Multimac Dynamic Suspension Spool Valve Adjustable Dampers and Anti-roll Bars
  • And much more!

How Much is an Aston Martin Vulcan?

Palm Beach Gardens drivers now know how fast an Aston Martin Vulcan is and that the Aston Martin Vulcan is not street legal. Now, let’s take a look at how much the Aston the Martin Vulcan retailed for compared to what it’s worth today:

  • When it retailed, each of the 24 Aston Martin Vulcan models produced cost $2.3 million.
  • Today, if an Aston Martin Vulcan surfaced in the market, it would likely be worth much more, and the value would be re-evaluated by how the auction proceeded. We do know that, in 2016, when the first Aston Martin Vulcan became available to the American market, the value of the Vulcan jumped from $2.3 million to $3.4 million.
