Lance Stroll: Early Life

So, who is Lance Stroll? Stroll was born on October 29, 1998, in Montreal, Canada, to fashion designer Claire-Anne Callens and businessman Lawrence Stroll. Lawrence Stroll is a part-owner in the Aston Martin F1 team. The younger Stroll’s interest in racing began early, starting with a competitive career in kart racing at age 10. In his first year alone, Stroll won numerous races and championships. This includes the 2008 Rookie of the Year award from the Federation de Sport Automobile du Quebec. Just one year later, the same group awarded him Driver of the Year. In 2010, he joined the Ferrari Driving Academy.

Lance Stroll: Career

Stroll’s professional adult racing career began in 2014. He started out in Formula 4 racing with an impressive debut at the 2014 Italian F4 Championship. Over the next few years, he moved into Formula 3 racing and continued racking up wins, including the Toyota Racing Series and the Circuit Paul Ricard.

In 2017, Stroll participated in his first Formula One race, driving for Williams. He has competed in the Formula One circuit ever since, amassing more successes along the way and building his reputation as a driver of formidable talent. In 2019, he joined the Racing Point team, which rebranded to Aston Martin F1 in 2021.

In the last couple of years, Stroll has had multiple tenth-place finishes, including at the Canadian, Dutch, and French Grands Prix, and his career has been temporarily slowed by the effects of a major crash. However, he continues to compete and finished seventh in Azerbaijan, proving that Lance Stroll will be a prominent face on the Aston Martin F1 team–and in the record books–for years to come.
