Race to the head of the pack with the new and improved 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster. The updated Vantage Roadster has the fastest convertible roof retraction rate on the market, and its new body is set to remedy many of the model’s previous issues. Take a look at the features of the 2021 Aston Martin Vantage, and you’ll see why you should consider it the next time you’re in the market for a roadster.

Previous versions of the Vantage have had difficulty maintaining body rigidity with the roof down, but the engineers at Aston Martin have fixed the issue in the 2021 version. With this change, the primary criticism of the Vantage Roadster is utterly obliterated. This feat was accomplished through the use of structural shear panels, hand-crafted to resist lateral forces to a far higher degree than ever before. The convertible top is now a powered soft-top, and it is a record-breaker. No other convertible in history has been able to power-fold its roof in seven seconds.

The engine for the 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster is a spectacularly effective 4.0-liter hot-vee twin-turbocharged V-8 from AMG. It gets an impressive 503 horsepower and 505 pound-feet of torque, and it is hitched to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. This transmission is so capable and dependable that it has become quite common in Aston Martin vehicles.

No manual transmissions are said to be available, but that could change. A seven-speed manual with auto-clutch tech is said to be in the works, but those rumors have yet to be confirmed. This combination of engine and transmission should get the Vantage Roadster from zero to 60 in an incredible 3.7 seconds.

The interior of the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster for the 2021 model year seems dipped in leather. Every surface, from the center console to the seating, steering wheel, and forward-console is almost entirely covered in high-quality premium light brown leather. The infotainment screen seems to be retractable into the console, while the center console is dotted with buttons and dials to cover every interior function imaginable. The Vantage Roadster seats two very comfortably and features an available comfort package, including heated front seats and 16-way adjustable memory seating.

A wide array of special packages are available with the 2021 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster. The Sports Plus Package includes a sports steering wheel and sports plus front seats. The Exterior Black Package contains a matte black front grille mesh and matte black window surround finishers.

The Tech Pack includes a unique touchpad, auto-parking assistance, keyless entry, glass switches, and blind-spot monitoring. Finally, the Q Carbon Fiber Under Bonnet Pack comes with a slam panel, a V duct, and a Q carbon-fiber engine cover. Keep in mind that this last kit requires dealer fitment, so check your dealership for service availability.
